Joyce is a prizewinner and finalist of several international singing competitions, including second prize at the International Singing Competition in Maribor, Slovenia (2018). She has been featured on European radio many times, in repertoire ranging from early music to new works, including premieres of works by Americ Goh.

 

As a soloist, she has appeared with the University of the Arts Singapore – Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, the Singapore Chinese Orchestra, the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, the Singapore National Youth Sinfonia, the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, the Singapore Armed Forces Central Band and the Philharmonic Wind Orchestra (Singapore). Abroad, she has performed at the Chamber Music Festival of the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing (2023 and 2026), the 42nd Daegu International Music Festival in Korea (2023), and Mahidol University, Thailand (2025).

 

Her operatic roles include the Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte) with Singapore Lyric Opera and Kuala Lumpur City Opera. Also with Singapore Lyric Opera, she has sung Tonina (Salieri’s Prima la musica e poi le parole), Madame Herz (Mozart’s Der Schauspieldirektor), Frasquita (Carmen) and Adele (Die Fledermaus). Her other roles include Gilda (Rigoletto) with New Opera Singapore, Isabella (Rossini’s L’inganno felice) with Lirica Arts, and Marzelline in an abridged Fidelio with The Opera People.

 

Joyce is an adjunct principal study lecturer in voice at the University of the Arts Singapore – Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, and an adjunct voice teacher at the School of the Arts, Singapore.

 

With composer Americ Goh, she co-founded The Art Song Coterie, a collective devoted to the art song and its performance.
